The Co-design Club is an Australasian Community of Practice, dedicated to slowing down and furthering conversations about learning, designing and deciding together.
Who is this for?
We are a group of 30 experienced practitioners of co-design who support the Design Justice Principles. We privilege the voices of design practitioners who have historically been overlooked and undervalued. We are currently exploring topics such as decolonising design, lived experience and moving beyond tokensim. We know we’re stronger together, and have much to learn from each other.
We’re curious about
Some of the questions we are holding are:
As covid-19 pushes us online, how do we bring the relational fabric with us?
How can we increase care, intimacy and social connection in design?
How are we showing up to, and working with power?
How do we live fully into the mindsets for co-design, and support others to do the same?
To support co-design, what do we need to strengthen in ourselves, in groups, organisations and systems?
How do we move beyond literary, linear approaches to learning, sharing and designing?
When are we the right people to be leading and supporting co-design work? Not?
How do we balance human and ecological concerns in our practice?
How can we slow down and maintain our boundaries and ethics when responding to an emergency?
